Essential Energy is a NSW Government-owned corporation, with responsibility for building, operating and maintaining one of Australia's largest electricity networks - delivering essential network services to more than 800,000 homes and businesses across 95 per cent of NSW and parts of southern Queensland.
Essential Energy is committed to placing customers and stakeholders at the centre of everything that we do. Meaningful collaboration with customers and key stakeholders enables us to deliver electricity services that better reflect customer preferences, and are supported by customers and stakeholders because they have partnered with us to develop our plans.
Every five years, the Australian Energy Regulator assesses our proposed capital and operating expenditure and converts this into a revenue allowance for each year of the regulatory proposal. We need your input into our 2019-2024 regulatory proposal, which will include issues such as safety, reliability, security and cost efficiency as well as plans for vegetation management and public lighting.
The current engagement plan will run over the course of 2017 and will involve local community forums, face-to-face interviews, online surveys and online feedback from customers. If you would like to take part in the community forums or interviews please contact us.
